How commodity-paired token launches work on SILO.
What is SILO?
SILO is an EVM meme-token launchpad on Robinhood Chain, an Arbitrum Orbit L2. Unlike conventional launchpads that pair new tokens against another cryptocurrency, every SILO token trades against a live commodity price — currently wheat or crude oil. Mememodity Markets.
Commodity pairing
When you launch, you choose a commodity pair. The token’s price action is denominated against that commodity’s live feed, so a token’s chart reflects both its own demand and the underlying commodity market. More commodities (corn, gold, coffee, soybeans, natural gas) are coming soon.
The bonding curve
Each token launches on a bonding curve seeded by the paired commodity token. As buyers arrive, the curve fills; once it completes, liquidity migrates on-chain. The Curve column on the trending board shows how far each token has progressed.
Dev buy
At launch you can optionally make a dev buy — an immediate purchase of the paired commodity token to seed initial price action. This is disclosed on the token’s page.
Wallets
SILO discovers injected EVM wallets through EIP-6963 multi-injected provider discovery. Phantom is highlighted as the recommended wallet, but MetaMask, Rabby, and any other injected provider are fully supported.
Demo notice
This build uses mock market data and simulates deployment — no real transactions are broadcast and no tokens are deployed. Network parameters for Robinhood Chain are placeholders pending mainnet details.
